• Don’t Close Your BIDSYNC Account Quite Yet… FI$CAL Procurement Function Delayed

    The FI$CAL Steering Committee which met earlier this month approved a postponement of the deployment of the FI$CAL Procurement functions which would have replaced among other features the BIDSYNS provided eProcurement portal now used for State of California procurements.

    bidsync-horiz-notag.pngeProcurement is the portal for the California State Contracts Register (CSCR), the State Contracting and Procurement Registration System (SCPRS), the online Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) queries and the statewide Leveraged Procurement Agreements (LPAs).

    The Procurement Division contracted with application service provider, BIDSYNC (formerly RFP Depot), to host its web-based procurement system several years ago. Apparently, the delay will allow the FI$CAL procurement function to be modified to allow mobile/smart device accessibility, a feature not included in the original FI$CAL Project Scope of Work which was developed during the end of the last century…
